Our thoughts and prays are with the Hamilton Fire Dept. and the family of Fire Chief David Haverdink.

Chief Haverdink was struck and by a vehicle on Tuesday evening. He passed away on Christmas Day. They were on scene of a medical emergency on M40.

Chief Haverdink served the Hamilton Fire Department for 51 years and as chief for
more then 40 yesrs.

This modern apparatus will significantly enhance the department’s ability to protect lives and property, expanding capabilities for structure fires, rescues, and mutual aid responses throughout Tekonsha and surrounding communities. The department extends its deepest gratitude to everyone who contributed, making this vital upgrade possible and strengthening the safety and resilience of the area we serve.
