The City of Tekamah and the Tekamah Lied Public Library would like to correct the misinformation that the library was utilizing extension cords and taking electricity from a neighboring house. Our investigation showed that they were the extension cords used to light the Christmas lights on the bridge during the holiday season, and unfortunately were left under the bushes on west side of the building. We are not sure who found them and decided to use them by plugging into the neighbor's outlets instead of the library outlets. We would like to let all know the cords have now been taken inside the library and are no longer accessible for anyone to use. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience
