The 2026 First Half Real Estate Tax Tickets were mailed out last month and are due on Friday, June 5, 2026 to avoid a late penalty. All payments with a June 5, 2026 postmark will be honored as an on-time payment. If you choose to, you may pay the entire annual amount of the 2026 county real estate taxes. Importantly, if you did not receive your county real estate tax ticket, please call our office at 276-385-1300.
All county taxes can be paid: in person at the Treasurer's Office, by phone, online, at a local bank, in the payment drop boxes at the courthouse entrances, or by U.S. Mail.

Our next property tax sale is scheduled for Friday, May 29, at 9:00 a.m. in the Board of Supervisors Meeting Room at the County Administration Building on Main Street in Tazewell. The list of properties to be auctioned will be posted on this page approximately two weeks before the sale.
Thank you to everyone who attended our last property tax sale in November. We appreciate your support and hope to see you again in May.

Due to inclement weather and road conditions, the Tazewell County Courthouse will open at 10:00 am today, Friday, December 5, 2025.

The 2025 Tazewell County Personal Property and 2nd Half Real Estate tax tickets were mailed in mid-October and are due by Friday, December 5, 2025 to avoid a late penalty. All payments with a December 5, 2025 postmark will be honored as an on-time payment. If you did not receive your county tax ticket, please call our office at 276-385-1300.

Update: Due to circumstances beyond the control of the Tazewell County Treasurer’s Office the Tax Sale WILL NOT be held on Friday, September 19, 2025. We will post a new date as soon as possible. We apologize for any inconvenience.
