Tazewell Soil & Water Conservation District The Tazewell Soil & Water Conservation District is here to promote and serve the best interest of all of society in conserving the natural resource legacy.

The Tazewell Soil & Water Conservation District is governed by a Board of Directors made up of five members. Three seats are elected and filled by the citizens of Tazewell County to serve a four-year term. One seat is appointed at large by the Virginia Association of Conservation Districts Board of Directors and the other seat is appointed by the Virginia Cooperative Extension Director, which is t

ypically held by the Agriculture and Natural Resource Agent within the county. The district is assisted by five associate directors. The associate director's position is a non-voting position and serves as an advisor to the board. The district currently employs three full time employees. Board of Directors:
