💙 Incredible energy tonight at the Christian County Democratic Women's September Meeting!

We had an outstanding turnout of 82 people at the American Legion in Taylorville! From delicious homemade desserts to wonderful speakers and big upcoming plans, grassroots momentum in Christian County is running full steam ahead.

Here is a recap of tonight’s highlights and upcoming dates:

Candidate & Guest Speakers:

🔹 Kenny Crowe (County Board, District 4)

Kenny shared updates on his outreach across District 4 and previewed plans for his Labor Day parade entry this Monday:

Meeting Location: Meet at 9:30 AM by the pool in Kitchell Park.

🔹 Sue Paso (County Board, District 2)

Sue gave an impassioned talk on the critical need for expanded mental health resources in our communities and shared updates on her campaign. She’s gearing up for a double parade weekend:

Taylorville Township Supervisor Billie Heberling shared details on the annual Festival of Trees, taking place again at the Taylorville Township building November 21st, 10am-6pm. All proceeds benefit local food pantries!

🍂 Christian County Democratic Party Meet & Greet:

Aden Marucco gave an update on the upcoming Christian County Democratic Party Meet & Greet on September 24th at 1905 Brewing Company in Assumption (5:00 PM – 8:00 PM).

Come out to meet all four County Board candidates alongside 15th Congressional Democratic candidate Jennifer Todd!

The evening will feature music, food, desserts, and a silent auction.

🇺🇸 Double Parade Day on Labor Day! Join the Christian County Democrats! 🇺🇸

The countdown is on! We can’t wait to march alongside our local candidates across Christian County over Labor Day weekend!

📣 Don't Forget! The Kincaid Labor Day Parade is taking place the day before on Sunday, September 6th at 12:00 PM. Check out our separate Facebook event page for all the details on marching with us in Kincaid!

⚠️ Volunteers Needed for Monday (9/7)! ⚠️
On Monday, September 7th, we have two parades running close in time, so our volunteer team will need to split up between both locations to ensure strong coverage. Pana is our larger event and needs a bigger group, but we also need a dedicated crew in Edinburg so both areas are fully supported!
