** FIRE SUPPRESSION UPGRADE**
The Town of Taylorsville will be doing a system wide water shut off on Saturday April 25th 2026. Please be informed that there will be no water pressure Saturday at all for an undetermined amount of time.
In early 2025 several fire department members came together to locate and GPS mark each hydrant, compiled a list of these locations and then tested each hydrant for pressure and flow rate, working nights and weekends to accomplish this feat.
All of this information was collected and compiled into a data sheet by the fire department and then turned over to the water department in Town Hall.
Part of this shutdown of the water system is to upgrade and replace parts of the town of Taylorsville's fire suppression systems as well as make other repairs. We would like to thank our firefighters who participated in helping make this a possibility by giving up their evening and weekend time.
