We are thrilled to welcome Jake McIntire back to present at the ZAP Virtual Workshop next Tuesday, September 22, from 12:00 - 1:00 PM!

This hands-on virtual workshop is structured to help you define your organization's non-negotiables. These core operating principles work alongside your mission, vision, and values to keep your organization grounded during times of change.

As Founder and Principal of Union Creative Agency, Jake brings extensive experience in strategic planning, with a focus on meaningful stakeholder engagement and on supporting nonprofits in capacity building, organizational growth, and community impact.

Jake was one of four panel presenters at our July In-Person Workshop. If you missed it, visit our YouTube channel to catch up on that and all previous In-Person & Virtual Workshops.

We are excited to announce the next in-person workshop on October 14! This workshop focuses on finding your program's story and adapting it for various stakeholders, from funders to the public.

A story that moves a funder isn't automatically the story that moves a donor or stops someone mid-scroll on Instagram. Finding what's genuinely compelling in your program's work is the first step before any of that adapting can happen.

As with past workshops, we will bring together local arts and culture leaders to share tips and tools. The day will begin with a panel presentation and Q&A, followed by small-group breakout sessions for deeper conversations on the presenters' topics.

This summer our office had the privilege in working with the Mayor's Office Intern Cohort program who brought Caleb to ZAP. Now that the school year is starting back up, we are sending him off to start his final semester at the University of Utah.

We are beyond proud of Caleb and his accomplishments with the ZAP team, and we can't wait to see where you take the world Caleb!

🚨THIS WEEKEND: Another free ZAP Grantee event! 🚨

The Utah Summer Dance Festival is a free live music and dance performance event showcasing the wide-ranging dance practiced in Utah and nearby states. Experience performances featuring a variety of dance styles, shop local vendors, enjoy delicious food trucks, and spend the day celebrating creativity, culture, and community!

The Utah Summer Dance Festival has been a ZAP recipient for two years now, and this event is one of their main contributions to Salt Lake County. The festival creates opportunities for student groups, emerging performers, solo artists, and established ensembles to perform in a professional public setting while reaching new audiences and building experience. Workshops offered alongside the festival expand access to dance education and encourage continued participation across age groups and experience levels.
