Spencer Co. Family Resource Center FRC is a school program for all families in Spencer County that refers families for new resources and collaboration with many community agencies.

Well yesterday I retired as the Coordinator of Spencer County FRC after 27 years working with the children and families. I know that I will missed it but I hope to make a difference in the lives of other children by rocking babies at a hospital. We will have our FRYSC Advisory Council meeting this coming Thursday, April 19th at Extension Office at 12 pm to 130 pm. Lunch will be provided. This will be our last meeting for this school year. Hope to see our members there.

We will have our Born Learning Academy this Thursday, March 29th at TES from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm. This program is for any Spencer County family that r expecting or have children up to age of 4 years old. Dinner will be provided, babysitting, and door prizes. I have a correction on our time for our mother/son scavenger hunt tonight. It starts at 5:30 pm with dinner first and Scavenger Hunt starts at 6:00 pm. The event is over at 7:00 pm.

On Thursday, March 22nd at SCES we r hosting our annual Mother/Son Scavenger Hunt from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Dinner will be served and a Scavenger Hunt for everyone to find 40 items in their car. Major door prizes for the winners of this activity. Call 477 3202 to reserve your spot. In case we do not have school that day, the Scavenger Hunt will be cancelled.

Spencer County Resource Center will be hosting their annual Father/Daughter Dance this Thursday, February 15th from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm. Dynamic DJ, dinner, and admission is free. Bring your dad or a very important male figure in your young ladies life to the Valentine's Dance.

On Thursday, January 25th we will be having our Born Learning Academy at TES from 6 to 7:30 pm. This program is for anyone that is expecting or has a child up to the age of 5 years of age. First Baptist Church is having their Dare to Care food boxes today from 3 to 5 pm. If anyone needs a food basket, just bring proof of residence and food stamp card or some assistance.

Tuesday, December 19th there will be the Toys for Tots Giveaway at First Christian Church on Main Cross from 10 am to 2 pm. The toys are free. Just bring proof of residence (bill) and a passport or food stamp card. information, please call 477 8553 and Bill Dunning is the pastor.

This Thursday, October 26th we will be having our Born Learning Academy at TES from 6 pm to 730 pm. This program is for any Spencer County family that is either expecting or has a child/children up to the age of 4 years old. The FRC, Youth Service Center, and the Extension Office are having their annual Community Baby Shower on Thursday, October 5th at the Extension Office from 11 am to 1 pm. Anyone that is expecting or has a baby up to 12 months of age are invited to come. Must be registered by 11:15 to be able to receive door prizes. Lunch will be provided.
