RECREATION COORDINATOR

The Snowflake–Taylor Recreation Department is accepting applications for a part-time Recreation Coordinator. This position will remain open until filled.

Position Overview
The Recreation Coordinator is responsible for assisting with youth and adult recreation programs and reports directly to the Recreation Director. Duties will include supporting all Recreation Department programs, activities, and operations as assigned. This position is employed by the Town of Taylor.

Schedule and Compensation
·Part-time position averaging 20–30 hours per
week

·Schedule varies based on program operations,
events, and departmental needs

·Weekend and holiday availability is required

·Hourly rate is dependent on experience
($19.50-$21.00)

·This position does not include benefits

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
·Assist with the coordination, operation, and
supervision of youth and adult sports programs.

·Perform field and gym setup and breakdown for
multiple sports and community activities.

·Measure, line, and prepare athletic fields for
various sports and events.

·Assist with Recreation Department programs,
activities, special events, and general office operations.

·Communicate professionally and effectively with
members of the public of all ages and with fellow employees.

·Use proper and professional telephone etiquette.

·Work safely, follow oral and written directions,
and complete assignments independently.

·Perform additional duties as assigned by the
Recreation Director.

Minimum Qualifications
·Must be at least 18 years of age.

·Must possess a valid driver’s license.

·Must successfully pass a background check.

·Must have basic computer skills, including
experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.

·Must have a working knowledge of social media
platforms.

·Must be able to work in an office setting and
outdoors in varying weather conditions.

·Must be able to perform physical labor and lift
up to 50 pounds.

·Must be dependable, self-motivated, and willing
to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

The Snowflake–Taylor Recreation Department is a drug-free workplace.

The Fire Hydrant Art Contest may be over, but the painting doesn’t have to stop!

We’d like our community to know that any open, unpainted fire hydrants are still available to paint. If you’ve been wanting to add a little creativity around town, we’d love to see more of our hydrants transformed as part of our ongoing effort to beautify Taylor. 🖌️🌻

We also want to give a big THANK YOU to everyone who participated in this year’s Fire Hydrant Art Contest! We loved seeing the creativity, time, and personality you put into each hydrant.

Have you ever wanted to leave your creative mark on our community? Now's your chance!

The Town of Taylor Fire Hydrant Art Competition is inviting artists, families, students, businesses, and community members to transform ordinary fire hydrants into colorful works of art that celebrate our town and the people who call it home.

✨ Choose from three categories:
🇺🇸 Most Patriotic
🎨 Most Creative
🏆 Best in Show

📅 Contest Dates: June 15 – July 25
📍 Register at: Taylor Town Hall (hydrants assigned on a first-come, first-served basis)
💲 Entry Fee: $10 per entry
🖌️ Participants must provide their own paint and brushes.

Whether you're an experienced artist or just looking for a fun summer project, we encourage everyone to join in and help add a little more color to Taylor.

What an incredible night celebrating 60 years of the Town of Taylor! 💙🎉

From the live music and food vendors to the kids laughing, neighbors reconnecting, and everyone gathering under the Arizona sky, this celebration was a beautiful reminder of what makes our community so special.

A heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who came out and celebrated with us. Your support, smiles, and community spirit made this milestone one to remember.

We also want to recognize the amazing volunteers and the dedicated Town of Taylor employees who spent countless hours planning, setting up, coordinating, and cleaning up to make this event a success. Your hard work behind the scenes made all the difference.

Thank you to all of our incredible vendors, food trucks, performers, and community partners for helping create such a fun and welcoming atmosphere for everyone.
