The High School choir travelled to Standish-Sterling High School to participate in the MSVMA District 9 Choir Invitational today with choirs from Standish, Ogemaw, Gladwin, Roscommon, and Alpena. All the choirs prepared three pieces - a whole group piece (SATB), an all girl piece (SSA), and an all guy piece (TTB). They worked all day with the Assistant Professor of Choral Music Education from Michigan State University, Dr. Stuart Chapman Hill and then gave a final performance at the end of the day.

📚 Book Fair — All week in the Media Center!

🤝 Parent-Teacher Conferences — Wednesday & Thursday, 4:00–7:00 p.m.

📋 Student Count Day — Wednesday! Attendance matters, so please make every effort to have students present and on time.

🚌 MI Career Quest — Friday, October 9! Our sophomores will travel to SVSU for a hands-on career exploration field trip.

Go Braves!

Last night, our Lady Braves took on the Oscoda Owls, and of course, there was a little more than bragging rights on the line!

Our SROs have been known to make a friendly wager or two when Tawas and Oscoda face off, and lucky for Deputy Wood, our Lady Braves served up the win! That meant Deputy Palmer got the honor of sporting some beautiful red and white today. ❤️🤍

Now the tables turn to the football field!

Join us Friday, October 9, when the Braves head to Oscoda and see which SRO/CRO ends up wearing the opponent’s jersey next.

Oh, and one more thing...

Join us for our upcoming Versiti blood drive on the stage in the Alumni Gym! One donation can help save up to three lives and support patients here in Michigan. ❤️

Appointments are required because the drive takes place during the school day.

• Eligible adults ages 18+ are welcome to donate.
• Students ages 16–17 may donate with parent permission. Pick up a permission form from Mrs. Mejeur.
