Meet Peg Hopper!

Peg Hopper volunteers with the Lake County Reserve Medical Corps through the Florida Department of Health. She works with the Lake County Office of Emergency Management to help update the Special Needs Registry each year. This makes sure that residents who might need extra help during emergencies have up-to-date information on file.

When a storm is on the way, Peg volunteers on the Citizens Information Line. She helps give residents timely and reliable information as they get ready for the storm.

Thank you, Peg, for your hard work in helping Lake County get ready for emergencies and for being there for our community when it counts!

Knowing the difference between a Hurricane Watch and a Hurricane Warning can help you respond at the right time. A Watch means conditions are possible and it's time to prepare. A Warning means dangerous conditions are expected and it's time to take action. 🌀☁️
