At 4 p.m. today, with the start of the evening shift, we had our very first Roll Call at our new home. Roll Call was conducted by Chief Walsh, which was very fitting considering the instrumental role he has played over the years always keeping the "New Police Station" conversation alive and active.

The Taunton Police Department is now fully operational at 90 County St. The old station at 23 Summer St. is now no longer in service.

*****Taunton Police Headquarters Move Update*****

RECORDS WINDOW

Effective Friday, May 15th, most Taunton Police Records office functions will be operational at the new building, located at 90 County St.

The one exception is transactions requiring payment (Parking passes, LTC app drop-off, etc.) will not be able to be serviced at either location on Friday, May 15th while we finalize moving the records office. These functions will be accessible again on Monday, May 18th at 90 County St.

Police Desk Officer

Tow releases will continue to be accessible through the Police Desk Officer window on Friday, May 15th. The Police Desk Officer will move to the new building at the same time as the Patrol Division. (See below)

Patrol Division

We anticipate moving all patrol functions on Monday, May 18th at 4 p.m. when our historic first Taunton Police Roll Call will take place at the new Taunton Police Headquarters.

****At that time, all Taunton Police Department resources and personnel will be located at and available ONLY at 90 County St.****

****Drumroll please....Taunton Police Headquarters is Moving!!!!****

New Station Address: 90 County Street

We wanted to share the latest information to prepare everyone and because you may have already noticed activity at the new station.

We are anticipating turning the lights out at 23 Summer Street in the next 2-3 weeks. We will share the actual date once it is certain.

For now, all publicly accessible police services remain at 23 Summer Street.

Starting next Monday, May 11th, we will be begin accepting walk-in records requests at the new station (and will still be accepting them at the old).

All other functions handled by the records clerks will continue to remain at the old station. This includes: Parking Passes, LTC/FID Applications, City License Applications, Tow Releases, etc.

We will keep you updated as information becomes available.
