Join communities up and down the Hudson for the 15th Annual Riverkeeper Sweep. We’ll supply gloves and trash bags. Wear your sunscreen and hat or jacket – whatever the weather, we’ll sweep the shore of trash – rain or shine!

Earth Month Clean-Up with the Lake Keepers
Sunday April 26 @ 10:00 am – 1:00 pm

Stop by for an hour or stay for the entire time. As usual, the purpose of the cleanup is to collect as much trash as we can around the Tarrytown Lakes Reservoir, and raise awareness about the damage littering does to our environment.

Donuts, candy, pizza and water will be provided, as well as gloves, pickers, vests, and trash bags.

Meet: Neperan Road parking lot
When: 10.00 am - 1.00 pm

🐝🌿Neperan Park Earth Month Celebration 🌿🐝

Join TEAC and Little Gardens of Tarrytown on Saturday, 4/25, from 10am to 12:00pm, when we celebrate Earth Month with a free spring seed planting event for kids, along with complimentary pollinator-friendly seeds to help you start your spring gardens!

We also invite you to help us prepare our Neperan gardens for spring by removing invasives and preparing beds for new plantings. This is a great opportunity to learn about native plants and garden care. Please wear comfortable clothing and bring garden gloves and a long-sleeved shirt.

April 20 @ 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm

Commit to showing up at your Village’s Board of Trustees meeting for a special session where Trustees will ask residents to speak briefly about our environmental priorities. Bring your own short list, or choose one or two from the issues below facing our community. Kids are very welcome!

- Gas leaf blower ordinances (local)
- Complete streets priority projects for pedestrian & bike safety (local)
- Expansion of village food scrap recycling (such as residential compost pickup)
- Better Bottle Bill (NY State proposal)
- NY Heat Act (NY State proposal)
- Packaging Reduction and Recycling Infrastructure Act (NY State proposal)
- Climate-change vulnerabilities and threats in our Village
