Due to questionable and unethical practices, violations of school policy, and other issues, the elections for the offices of President and Vice President of Student Council have been cancelled. New elections with stricter rules on practices will be scheduled at a later date. More details will be publicized during the week next week.

Fellow Teachers and Students,

A major goal of the Student Council is to improve all aspects of student life at EF Academy. With that being said, Student Council has established several standing committees to bolster its efforts in achieving this goal.

The following students have been elected to the following positions: -

1. Jose Luis Pueyo – Student Life Chair: Oversees the Academics, CAS, Facilities, and Housing Committees.
2. Seoune Lee – Academics Chair: Addresses all issues pertaining to academics
3. Patch Nattamon Rawanghet – CAS/Activities Chair: Planning and organizing activities for students
4. Larry Cheung – Facilities Chair: Addresses and provides solutions to issues concerning school facilities
5. Adetoun Adeyemi – Housing Chair: Organizing competitions between the 4 houses

These committees will be working closely with the administration and the entire student body in improving the overall aspects of student life.

Hello to all Potential Student Council Representatives,
Thank you for attending today's meeting! It was great seeing all of you there today
Just a few points I'd like to put across:
1. Anthony Yan and I will be having office hours tomorrow from 10.00 PM to 11.30PM in the Student Council Office. The office is located on the right side of the reception desk. We will notify the houseparents at the reception counter about our location incase any of you have trouble finding the office.
2. If you run out of petition sheets, you can drop by Mr.Barnes' room to pick up more sheets! His room number is 227 located at Academic Building.
We will be more than happy to entertain any questions you have about the election procedures!

Hi everyone!

Thanks for your interest in being a member of student council this year! We have a great year ahead of us and I'm sure with your help, this will be our most productive year yet.

Our first meeting will be tomorrow, Wednesday, 10 September 2014 at 3:45 pm in the Academic building, room 227. We will begin our meeting with a short orientation on Student Council, what we do, the level of commitment we need to be successful, the election procedures (how you become a voting member of the council), and some information about our constitution.
Commitment - The council can't function well if members aren't at meetings. We ask you to set EVERY Wednesday aside for meetings with the Student Council if you are elected as a member. Each member is also responsible for being a member of at least one standing committee that will meet at a time set by the committee (outside normal Wednesday meetings).
Election Procedure - Each prospective member of the council must submit a petition indicating your candidacy, signed by at minimum 35 students.
Constitution - We have a constitution that governs everything the council does. Please be sure to know it well so we can function well. See http://bit.ly/1uj78H7 for the Constitution.
