Joshua is excited to become part of the cooperative community and looks forward to serving our members and helping strengthen the communities we call home. Looking for poles for a project or wooden cable reels for a table, decoration, or DIY project? Edgecombe-Martin County EMC has FREE used utility poles and empty wooden cable reels available while supplies last!

📍 Used Poles
✔ Available for pickup Monday-Friday
✔ 7:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
✔ Must be able to load the poles yourself
✔ A waiver must be signed before loading

📍 Wooden Cable Reels
✔ Empty reels available outside the entrance to our receiving gate
✔ Available for pickup anytime
✔ No appointment needed

Edgecombe-Martin County EMC proudly recognized Ethan Thomas as our 2025 Safety Employee of the Year during our annual Safety Luncheon held in April.

Ethan is known among his coworkers for his attention to detail, proactive mindset, and strong commitment to maintaining a safe work environment. Whether in the field or around the office, he consistently looks out for those around him and leads by example each day. His dedication helps reinforce the culture of safety that remains a top priority at our cooperative. 💙

This month, we’re proud to recognize Karren Braswell, our VP of Finance, as Edgecombe-Martin County EMC’s Employee Spotlight for May!

Karren has been a valued part of the cooperative for 22 years and plays an important role in helping keep our financial operations running smoothly. When asked what she enjoys most about her job, Karren shared:

“What I enjoy most about my job is the financial and analytical aspects of reviewing ratios, reconciling, and using the information to drive accurate financial decisions. I also enjoy having Michael and Alissa on my team.”
