The Honorable Carol Allen White, Clerk of Superior Court, Edgecombe County, extends warmest wishes for a Happy and Safe Easter to everyone. The Edgecombe County Clerk of Superior Court Tarboro and Rocky Mount offices will be closed on Friday, April 3, 2026, in observance of Good Friday. The Magistrates office will remain open 24/7.

Depending upon water main repairs being completed...the Edgecombe County Courthouse WILL open to the public at 1pm today, February 9, 2026.

‼️Important Public Notice‼️

As a result of an unexpected water main break, the Edgecombe County Courthouse will be closed to the public tomorrow, Monday, February 9, 2026. The Civil Non Jury session will be rescheduled for Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at 9:30 am in the Superior Courtroom. Your assistance in sharing this information with the public is greatly appreciated. Meanwhile, the Edgecombe County Clerk of Court's office in Rocky Mount at the Judicial Center on Cokey Road will maintain its regular business hours.

The Edgecombe County District Court will resume its standard schedule on Thursday, February 5, 2026, with court convening at 9:00 a.m. in the Superior Courtroom of the Edgecombe County Courthouse. Adjustments to the schedule, if needed due to conditions, will be posted here.

*The Magistrates office will be open and accessible 24/7.*

The Edgecombe County Clerk of Superior Court offices in Tarboro and Rocky Mount will be closed on Tuesday, February 3, 2026. Court proceedings will resume on Wednesday, February 4, 2026 at 11:00 am in both District and Superior Court. District Court will be held in the Edgecombe County Administration Building Auditorium.

Individuals summoned for jury duty should report at 10:30 am for orientation, and may call 252-824-3205 for further information.

Modification of Court Sessions: Due to the continued construction of the District Courtroom at the Edgecombe County Courthouse, all District court sessions the week of February 2-4, 2026, will be relocated to the Edgecombe County Administration Building Auditorium.
