Tiwa Babies is looking for community storytellers to help carry forward the gift of sharing stories with our youngest generation. 💛
We are seeking someone willing to spend time with our young community members and share stories that teach, connect, and keep our traditions alive. Storytelling has always been a way we pass on knowledge, values, laughter, and the teachings that strengthen who we are as Taos Pueblo people.

🌞 SAVE THE DATE – Taos Pueblo Tiwa Language Immersion Camp 2026 🌞

Join us June 1st through June 11th, 2026 for a fun-filled and culturally grounded Tiwa Language Immersion Camp at the Red Willow Education Center / Youth Trailer from 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM each day!

Youth ages 5–14 will have the opportunity to learn and strengthen our ancestral Tiwa language while enjoying:
🌿 Nature Walks
🎯 Tiwa Games
🏊 Swimming
🏺 Pottery Making
🍞 Cooking & Baking
🎶 Singing & Dancing
🚌 Field Trips

This camp is more than summer fun; it is about keeping our language, culture, and traditions alive for future generations. ❤️

Parents and family members are encouraged to participate or volunteer. Breakfast, lunch, and snacks will be provided daily.

Interested in helping improve health and wellness in our communities? The Community Health Worker (CHW) Training Program at UNM-Taos is now offering a Certificate in Community Health! ❤️

CHWs play an important role by:
🤝 Supporting individuals and families
🩺 Bridging gaps in healthcare systems
📚 Providing culturally appropriate education & advocacy
🌎 Strengthening community wellness and access to care

This program is endorsed by the New Mexico Department of Health and prepares students for state certification as a Community Health Worker (C-CHW).

✔️ 10 credit hours / 6 short courses
✔️ Friday classes for 2 semesters
✔️ Learn health navigation, outreach, advocacy, coaching, harm reduction, mental health first response & more
