Apply now to get cost share assistance from Taos Soil and Water Conservation District for our pilot winter bale grazing program. Open to all landowners and land-leasers in Taos County who have livestock and are willing to follow NRCS guidelines in feeding extra hay to their livestock to be left behind as soil armor to improve the health of local pastures.

Now is a great time to plant fall tree seedlings to get them established before the cold sets in. Taos SWCD has purchased over 1000 multispecies native tree seedlings from New Mexico State Forestry for county landowners to purchase at a discounted rate ($10 for bundles of 10 plants).

Call 575-751-0584 or email [email protected] for a simple application.

Supplies are limited and trees are reserved in order of application submission. Trees are available for pickup next week!
