This , we’re celebrating a recent court decision that continues protections for Baaj Nwaavjo I’tah Kukveni (Ancestral Footprints of the Grand Canyon National Monument) a place deeply tied to the cultures, histories, and futures of Tribal Nations, including the Hopi and Havasupaii.

As efforts continue to challenge protections and push for extractive development, Tribal Nations will continue to defend their sacred lands.

Native Democrats - Your Voice Is Needed

Nominations are open for the 14 Temporary Native American (NA) State Central Committee (SCC) seats. If you are a registered Native American Democrat in New Mexico, this is your opportunity to help shape statewide decisions that impact our communities. These 14 Temporary seats are separate from the 14 NA SCC members already selected.

These seats ensure representation for Pueblo, Apache, Navajo, and Native relatives whose tribal nations are based outside New Mexico - including Shoshone, Choctaw, Paiute, Tohono O'odham, Hopi and many others who have New Mexico as their home.

You may self-nominate or nominate another Native American Democrat in New Mexico.

To stay informed and engaged, we invite you to become a member of NADCNM.

Nomination Deadline: April 23. 2026, 5 pm
