Tonight is the last night of the carnival! They had a packed house yesterday. With it being a little cooler today, it’s the perfect chance to make it over there! Concessions start at 5pm & rides open at 7pm! Lunch is available until 1pm. The funnel cakes & fried Oreos have been on point!

Thanks to all the volunteers who have helped out over there! Be safe & cool this weekend.

I’ll be out of town from Saturday 6/13/26 - Wednesday 6/17/26 for a conference, so responses may be delayed.

Today I had the opportunity to attend the 5th grade graduation at Taneytown Elementary School, where our oldest Claire, graduated onto middle school!

This year I also had the opportunity to personally sponsor the Safety Scholarship Awards as part of the schools Safety Program. If you’ve ever seen the kids around the elementary school in the neon green ribbons, they’re apart of the program. Earlier in the week, myself & Chief Castellar had the opportunity to attend a lunch with the school safety class where they asked plenty of questions like, “are you going to be governor” and “does your body guard come with you everywhere” & if Jesse has “ever been a body guard for the president”. Great program that seems to be expanding every year! Big shoutout to Mrs. Becky Cool & Mrs. Gigi Gardner for putting it together!

Two students were selected this year and each received a $250 scholarship.

The two students this year were:
Zada Shalabi & Lawson Marshall

Congratulations to everyone moving up to middle school & congratulations to the Safety Scholarship Award recipients!
