🚨🚨Santa is coming!! 🚨🚨
We just got word from that the Jolly Man in red will be visiting Harney on the Fire Engine! We were told he had a blast with the community last year and that he would not miss visiting Harney again. He will be riding around the community on the evenings of December 20 and 21st. Please share and tell your family and friends we will be posting the times and routes

Engine 111 to the adams 22 vehicle collision.

18:36CT: MUTUAL AID ALARM AC, 22-04 1746 BARLOW TWO TAVERNS RD / VC /

Engine 111 was alerted to assist Barlow Volunteer Fire Department for a vehicle collision with one down an embankment and person still in car.
Engine111 arrived ,cheif 11 (Yingling) with comand and started to secure the car using our tie back system . Once the car was stable the crew from 111 removed the driver, turning patient care over to the medic crew.

Congratulations to Our very own Chief Donald Yingling Jr ,for earning the Bronze Valor Award at his career station In Montgomery County. He can be viewed at 44:47. The victim survived and later thanked him in person for saving his life. This award is from serving the citizens of Montgomery County.

This morning the crews were alerted for a service call in the 5000 block of Harney road . Engine 111 with four responded to find two vehicle’s left the road way and one struck a metal pole causing extensive damage to its front end. Salt truck was request due to road conditions at the time being solid ice .
Units cleared after arrival of salt truck and CCSD.

Please use caution this morning on the roadways!

The Harney Volunteer Fire Company joins with our brothers and sisters across Maryland and the U.S. in mourning the loss of three Baltimore City firefighters in the line of duty early Monday, January 24.

Baltimore city officials say that the three firefighters died after becoming trapped in a collapse while fighting a fire in a rowhouse on South Stricker Street. A fourth firefighter was also trapped, but quickly removed and transported to the hospital.

The firefighters have been identified as Lt. Paul Butrim, FF/PM Kelsey Sadler and FF/EMT Kenny Lacayo. The fourth firefighter, who is listed in serious condition at Shock Trauma, has been identified as John McMaster.
