“In the United States Marine Corps , promotion isn’t just about rank; it’s about legacy, sacrifice, and who stood beside you through it all.
Traditions run deep in this Corps, and they run even deeper in families who live this life every day such as mine.
Having my kids pin me and my wife place a statement on my Chief Warrant Officer 4 bars wasn’t just symbolic …. it was earned. She stood the duty with me. She endured the deployments, the field ops, the late nights, the PCS moves, and the weight that comes with climbing to CWO4 — a rank only 1.3% of officers reach. That moment belonged to my family and I and will be a lasting statement in our memories.
When a Marine makes it to the rank of CWO4, it represents decades of technical mastery, leadership, and trust placed in you by the institution. But when my wife pins those bars on your collar, it represents something just as important — partnership, loyalty, and shared sacrifice.
Honor, Courage, and Commitment is the embodiment of our corp values. And TRADITIONS is what is different. I wouldn’t be here without the support of my wife Yohira and our kids Bella and Cromwell. "
