🚨 What do these colors mean? 🚨

In disasters and mass casualty incidents, triage saves lives. Those colored tags and tapes help responders quickly identify who needs care first when every second counts.

Join USF CERT for our April Monthly Disaster Medicine Training and learn how triage works in real emergency situations. You’ll get hands-on experience with the systems responders use to assess, prioritize, and manage patients during large-scale incidents.

🩸 Stop the Bleed Training Recap 🩸

This month, USF CERT and USF SCOPE hosted a Stop the Bleed training, where participants learned simple, hands-on skills to control severe bleeding and help save a life.

With severe bleeding becoming life-threatening in as little as 3–5 minutes, knowing how to respond before first responders arrive can make all the difference. During the session, attendees practiced lifesaving techniques like applying pressure, packing wounds, and using tourniquets.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and took the time to learn how to be the help before help arrives. Your willingness to step up and learn these skills helps make our community stronger and more prepared.
