SOF makes up only 3% of the Joint Force and uses less than 2% of the total Department of War budget—an amount roughly equal to a single aircraft carrier. Despite this small footprint, the USSOCOM was forced to deny 70 requests for capabilities last year alone due to a lack of resources. It is time to restore funding to ensure our premier crisis response force remains ready.
