David Jolly is wrong as usual. We don’t oppose Data Centers. We oppose the graft that goes along with them. We oppose public dollars subsidizing private enterprise. We oppose the cost of infrastructure upgrades to support them being levied on taxpayers and consumers hit with higher electricity rates. We oppose our communities being hit with water shortages and pollution because the system isn’t designed to support these centers are politicians waived restrictions and requirements in exchange for campaign and PAC donations. Implementation and approvals for data centers in Florida have come at the expense of Floridians and the profit of Republicans and Democrats.

Jolly said majority of Floridians oppose new data centers. Polls back that up. | Link in comments ⬇️

We strongly oppose the Warrantless Mass Surveillance of the residents of and call on Hillsborough County, Florida Government, City of Tampa, and all incorporated communities in the county to immediately cease these activities until constitutional safeguards are in place to protect the rights of ALL residents!

🚨 Florida is pumping the brakes on Flock surveillance.

The state has revoked permits for automated license-plate readers along state-controlled highways amid concerns over privacy, data sharing, and misuse.

For libertarians, the principle is simple: target suspects—not everyone.

Technology may make mass surveillance possible. That doesn’t mean government should use it to create searchable records of ordinary people’s movements.

Public safety matters. So do the Fourth Amendment, due process, and limits on government power.

🗽 Public safety doesn’t require mass surveillance.

🇺🇸 MONDAY — LIBERTY LESSON

If the government accuses you of a crime, who should have to prove the case?

The government.

The presumption of innocence means an accused person begins a criminal trial presumed innocent. The prosecution—not the defendant—carries the burden of proving every element of the charged crime beyond a reasonable doubt.

Think about the alternative:

Government could accuse you, then demand that you prove you didn’t do it.

That’s especially dangerous when the state has police, investigators, prosecutors, public funding, and prisons behind it.

The principle is simple:

Government makes the accusation. Government must prove it.

The power to punish should come with the highest burden.
