Our Exercise Science and Kinesiology students gained valuable hands-on experience at the Baker Mayfield Youth Football Camp, working alongside coaches and helping young athletes build skills and confidence.

Experiences like this help students strengthen their leadership and communication skills while preparing for careers in sports performance, coaching and health and wellness.

Over the last two days, educators, researchers and practitioners gathered to discuss the opportunities, challenges and future of AI in teaching, learning and leadership. ๐Ÿค–๐Ÿ

Through engaging discussions, hands-on sessions and meaningful conversations, attendees explored innovation, workforce impacts and AI's evolving role in education. The summit demonstrated the value of collaboration across K-20 education as participants shared ideas, challenges and opportunities for the future.

This week, 30 campers explored animation, filmmaking and music technology during our Animation Gets Real camp!

The camp was designed for students on the autism spectrum and those with related disabilities. The goal was to provide hands-on opportunities to develop digital art and storytelling skills while fostering creativity, confidence and connection.

Campers had a unique opportunity to learn from ! Dani is an entrepreneur, animator and star from the Netflix series Love on the Spectrum. She shared her experiences and helped us inspire each camper. Thanks Dani and Arts 4 All Florida for hosting such a fun week!

At the USF College of Education, our Exercise Science and Kinesiology students are gaining hands-on experience through training and testing with the USF Track & Field team, using specialized technology and performance data in a high-level learning environment.

These experiences allow students to apply what they learn in the classroom while preparing for future careers in sport and human performance.

Last Friday Project iSEBA began their Summer Institute. Through July, the project will host free, in-person presentations open to the public.

The presentations will focus on distance learning and technology, math and literacy instruction, and school leadership strategies to support school-aged children with severe emotional and behavioral disorders.

Congratulations to our first-ever spelling bee finalist, Park Allen, for competing in the National Scripps Spelling Bee in Washington, D.C., last week.๐Ÿ

Allen, an eighth-grader at East Lake Middle School Academy of Engineering, finished among the top 100 spellers in the nation, placing 96th out of 247 spellers from across the country!
