TransCare

TransCare provides 911 basic life support ambulance service; behavioral health transport; basic and advanced life support interfacility transportation.

For more than 30 years, the Crisis Center of Tampa Bay has operated TransCare Medical Transportation Services. TransCare helps support the agency’s other vital services for over 160,000 people a year in Hillsborough County by providing BLS ambulance services and full service medical transportation. TransCare provides primary 9-1-1 Basic Life Support (BLS) services in the City of Tampa; BLS emergen

cy and non-emergency ambulance service throughout Hillsborough County; countywide psychiatric transports to/from all area hospitals; transportation to state psychiatric facilities; and stand-by service for special events. TransCare is accredited by the Commission on the Accreditation of Ambulance Services (CAAS). It is one of only ten CAAS-accredited agencies in the State of Florida and the only CAAS-accredited organization in Hillsborough County. Less than 1% of ambulance services in the nation hold this accreditation.

Odesa arrival! The retired ambulance and van that TransCare donated to US Ambulances for Ukraine have arrived in Odesa. The vehicles will replace emergency vehicles that have been destroyed in Ukraine.

Today we had the honor of meeting Lily and Chris Manson. When the conflict in Ukraine began, Lily told her dad they had to do something to help. Chris began working with contacts throughout the country to coordinate first responder vehicle donations to send oversees. It is through their work that we sent two TransCare vehicles to Ukraine in November.
