Juneteenth reminds us that freedom delayed is not freedom denied, and that hope, faith, and perseverance can overcome even the greatest obstacles.

As we remember June 19, 1865, may we continue building a new America of the people, by the people, for All people. where freedom and opportunity are truly shared by all.

I am honored to share that during the 2026 Legislative Session, I was able to secure $32,738,842 in budget deliverables that will directly benefit the residents of Senate District 32 and communities throughout Broward County. These investments support public safety, behavioral health, youth programs, housing, infrastructure, and services for our most vulnerable neighbors. I remain committed to fighting for resources that strengthen our communities and create opportunities for future generations.

Thank you to the 200 community members who attended the "By the People, For the People" Town Hall Meeting at Historic New Mount Olive Baptist Church tonight.

We appreciate our Senior Pastor, Dr. Marcus Davidson, for opening the church doors and providing a space for residents to convene and discuss the 2026 laws, state budget, redistricting, and community issues.
