The Fire Department will conduct a test of the steady (monotone) evacuation siren today at 6:00 PM. This is the siren that would sound if an evacuation were necessary. This is only a test—no action is needed.

The Tamaha area has received a ton of rainfall this evening. The majority of our roads have lots of water. Some of the dirt roads are washed out and down to single traffic only. Be careful if you have to get out tonight!!!

Just an update from your local friendly fire dept!!!! Our storm sirens are still a week or 2 out from being installed so if the weather gets hairy tonight and yall need to take cover we will be driving around the town with lights and sirens on!!! Every be safe and have a great night!!!

We had a good turn out today for people coming and getting water!!! We will be back tomorrow from 1-3 for anyone who missed today or needs more water tomorrow. Be sure and bring jugs/buckets for the non potable water!!! As always yall can message this page for anything needed between now and then!!!

The roads to town are extremely snow packed and iced over. They are very slick. The county is out working on them though...

The roads to town are extremely snow packed and iced over. They are very slick. The county is out working on them though. I think last night was our coldest night so far so if anyone has any problems today please let us know. We helped a few people out yesterday that had frozen water.
