The South Tama County Community School District offers career and technical programs in the following service areas:

What happens when you let 8th graders throw their writing? Apparently… ART!

Today in Mrs.Jennings & Mrs.Kloppings 8th Grade Literacy Classes, students wrote short stories using vivid details and dialogue, crumpled them into “snowballs,” and tossed them around the room! After a few rounds of reading and identifying details in their classmates’ stories, they ended with a final story and drew what they visualized while reading it.

“It was such a fun way to see how an author’s words can create a picture in someone else’s imagination!” shared Ms. Jennings!

The South Tama County HS Football Team used a burst of offensive success to defeat Louisa Muscatine tonight at the STC HS Stadium by a score of 40-26. Lincoln Savings Bank donates $50 per touchdown scored by the Trojans at home games to South Tama Activity Boosters, Inc. for a minimum of $1,000. South Tama's Eli Cruikshank, Izak Schroeder (3), Ryan Brant to Michael Henry, and Jet Chyma accounted for South Tama's six touchdowns tonight! Thanks, LSB!
