This includes spay/neuter, Shots, (Dogs heart worm tested) (Cat/kittens leukemia and FIV tested), flea treatment and deworming and microchipped. TCHS is a non-profit organization with a Board of Directors and many volunteers. We are dedicated to providing an animal rescue center for dogs, cats, and small animals who are homeless for many reasons. Each animal is examined and given appropriate shots and medicine and are spayed or neutered before adoption.

It’s Friday, which means we have officially entered the weekend… and our dogs have entered “I deserve treats for absolutely no reason” mode. 😂

Hi. I'm Gypsy. I was born at the Tama County Humaine Society. When I was 10 days old I met my chosen Mom. I knew she was sad. I found out later she had just lost her soul dog. Mom was there to see my brother so I put in the work to make her mine.

Every visit I edged my way in. Even my dog mom got a slap when she tried for affection. I showed Mom my resting b!@>h face that matched hers and my fanatic side eye.

I won. Mom took me home for good when I was 8 weeks old. I turned on the charm again and made my Grandpa love me. I became his sidekick. I now beg for snacks. I know what the butter container on the tractor means, Cheetos. I get chouffeured around by Mom. I love car rides, especially to places that have snacks or to see a friend.

I had a good start to life at TCHS and a good life when I left. Go see my friends that are there now and find your friend and give them the life I have.
