We are so proud of our students who had PERFECT ATTENDANCE for the month of August! 🎉👏

To celebrate their commitment to coming to school each day, these students had the opportunity to choose a FREE book from our Book Vending Machine! 📖💙

We love being able to celebrate students with something that inspires them to read, dream, and discover new worlds. ❤️

Want to help us keep the books stocked and make sure we can continue this special student recognition throughout the year? You can! 🙌

📚 PURL Is Coming to Our School! 📚

We are excited to welcome the Piedmont Regional Library’s Pop-Up Library (PURL) to our school on September 4! 🎉

Students will have the opportunity to:
📖 Return their book mobile books
📚 Choose a new library book from the book mobile
❤️ Continue growing their love of reading and libraries!

Students can also return their book mobile books at any time in our school library, so there’s no need to wait until September 4.

We are incredibly appreciative of our partnership with the Piedmont Regional Library and the wonderful opportunities they provide for our students. Together, we are building readers, encouraging a love of books, and growing a love for libraries in our communities! 📚❤️

Making Connections 💙

This week, we were excited to welcome our wonderful mentors for another Mentor Breakfast! 🥞☕️

Through our partnership with Legacy Youth Mentoring, caring adults are matched with a student and spend a little time throughout the school year building a meaningful connection. Mentors might share lunch, play a game, talk, read, or simply spend time getting to know their student. The impact of that consistent connection can be incredibly meaningful! 💙

And we’d love to have YOU join us! Becoming a mentor requires just 30 minutes every other week—a small commitment that can make a BIG difference in the life of a child.

If you’ve ever thought, “I’d love to make a difference, but I just don’t have much time,” this may be the perfect opportunity for you!

✨🖤 Second Grade Art Under the Black Light! 🖤✨

Our second graders had a glow-tastic time showing off their creativity in art! 🎨🌟

Students created colorful collages by drawing with fluorescent highlighters on black paper—and then brought their artwork to life under a black light! 💜💚💛💙

The results were bright, bold, and absolutely glowing! We love seeing our students explore art in such a fun and unexpected way. 🌈✨
