With a good old fashion NY snow storm coming ,help us help you in an emergency. Be the HERO of your community. If you have a fire hydrant in front of your house or near by safely clear it out so it can be seen and accessible.
Also help the DOT and local DPW crews trying to keep the roads clear. Unless you have an emergency stay off the roads and allow them do their job and clear the roads. Less traffic will help them.

Please help support Melissa and Pat McKiernan as she battles Breast Cancer. Melissa is a former EMT with the Ramapo Valley Ambulance Corp here in the Town of Ramapo and currently a RN in Richland SC.
Her husband Pat is a former member and Captain of the Tallman Volunteer Fire Department before going associate member to follow a paid career in firefighting in Lexington SC. Good evening, it is with deep regret and sorrow that the Tallman Fire Department announces the passing of Tallman Ladies Auxiliary member Roberta Doremus, mother of Ex - Chief and Life Member Robert Doremus, mother of Tallman Ladies Auxiliary Member Doreen Zarcone and mother in law of member Bob Zarcone, sister to auxiliary members Darlene Routhapt, Essie Doody, and life member Charles Ackerson. The wake will be held on Tuesday June 10th at Wanamaker and Carlough from 4PM to 8PM with firematic services starting at 7:30 PM

Late post

On March 30th 2025 Tallman Fire Department hosted a Swiftwater Command and Control class. The Class was presented by Trident Rescue. Tallman FD and Hillcrest FD are the two lead organizations on establishing the Rampo Swiftwater Rescue Task Force. This class taught the students how to size-up and manage swiftwater incidents, which are becoming more prominent in our county. Students consisted of members of multiple Rockland County Fire Departments, NYS Fire and other organizations outside NY.

Big thank you to Thiells Fire Department for allowing us to drill last night with them. Our new members were able to get great on hands training. Tallman Fire Dept looks forward to continued training with Thiells FD in the future! We are also exited on your future new home and wish you all the best on the new build!
