I was born in Montgomery, Alabama. Have lived in Elmore County since I was born. I am a 1985 graduate of Elmore County High School in Eclectic, Alabama. I received my Eagle Scout in 1979 with the Boy Scouts of America.
Served in the US Army and Alabama Army National Guard as Aviation Operations Specialist and retired as a Sergeant in 2005 after 21 years of service. Served in the Persian Gulf War (Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm) and Operation Restore Hope in Somalia.
Currently a Nationally Registered Emergency Medical Technician. Currently a licensed Emergency Medical Technician – Intermediate in State of Alabama. I have been in Emergency Medical Services for 33 years and have worked for numerous EMS Agencies in 33 years of service. Currently work full-time as an EMT-Intermediate with CARE Ambulance and part time with Eclectic EMS.
I am also certified as a Fire Fighter, Fire Instructor I, Fire Inspector I by the Alabama Fire College. I am also a certified Fire Chaplain. Certified Peer to Peer Counselor.
Member of Seman Baptist Church – serve as a Deacon and Sunday School Teacher. Served on mission teams to Guatemala from 2006 – 2012.
Member of Red Hill Volunteer Fire Department and serve as Lieutenant (Medical/Rescue Officer).
Member and Southeast Region Representative for the Alabama Emergency Medical Services Association.
