PARK UPDATE:
Please be aware that the playground at Jackson View Park will be closed for the next several weeks as the existing play structure is removed and replaced with new playground equipment.

The park will remain open throughout the project. Jackson View Park’s trails, picnic areas, open spaces and other amenities will remain available, although certain areas may be temporarily closed during construction for safety. Signage will be posted onsite to help park users navigate the work area.

Thank you for your patience, and we look forward to improving our parks for all users! Please check back here for updates.

Congratulations to the Chaires-Capitola Little League team — our Florida State Champions! 💚⚾

What an incredible run! We’re so proud of these young athletes for making it to the Little League Southeast Regionals and representing Leon County with such heart, determination and sportsmanship. The Chaires-Capitola team made history with their first-ever appearance at the Little League Southeast Region Tournament.

We’re incredibly proud of you and grateful for the way you represented Leon County on the regional stage.

PARK UPDATE:
Please be aware that Tower Road Park will undergo a series of improvement projects over the course of the next several months. Enhancements include playground replacement, installation of a basketball half-court, and upgrades to the picnic space. Please expect periods of limited access to these amenities throughout the project's duration and check back here for project timeline and updates.

Today, County Parks staff assisted at Daniel B. Chaires Community Park while the community celebrated the Chaires Capitola Little League team with an enthusiastic send-off as they head to the Southeast Regional Tournament for a chance to play in the Little League World Series.

We love creating space for young athletes to grow and play in Leon County. Good luck, team!
