The Corporation for Community and Economic Development United, Inc. The Corporation was established to address and promote issues concerning the underserved citizens living in the Nation’s most distressed communities.

Founded in 1996 as a statewide community outreach initiative in Florida’s most impoverished neighborhoods, the CCEDU is a separate not-for-profit corporation. The Corporation for Community and Economic Development United (CCEDU), recognized by the Internal Revenue Service in 2005 as a 501 (c) (3) organization, is pleased to introduce you to its vision of social change, economic and community engag

ement, cultural and educational needs of the diverse communities and neighborhoods under the “Umbrella” of United Group of Affiliates across five southern states. The CCEDU use a research based delivery method to accomplish its mission. The Corporation works with partners to deliver innovative programs in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) education. Programs are available in personal finance; arts, history, and culture; community engagement; recidivism, education, career exploration; and health. In addition to providing innovative and effective programs and services in support of our mission, the CCEDU strives to demonstrate the following values:

• Accountability: being accountable to our clients, donors, volunteers, and the public – exhibiting the highest level of integrity and financial responsibility throughout the organization.

• Community: initiating partnerships and collaborations that foster community are important factors to our success as we serve.

• Evaluation: assessing our programs and their effectiveness are cornerstones for continuous improvement – ensuring that we remain focused on our mission.

• Excellence – demonstrating commitment to the highest standards of quality and excellence in service provided to the individuals that we are privileged to serve.

• Trust – establishing an organization answerable for its performance. The CCEDU provides technical assistance to small businesses; manage commercial corridor maintenance and place-making initiatives; develop safety and violence prevention programs; direct business attraction and retention programs and oversee out-of-school time social/emotional and healthy options for families. In addition, the Corporation partners with the local Workforce Development Boards, a job placement provider primarily serving residents affected by poverty and barriers to employment. Our efforts impact neighborhoods in transition where low, moderate, and market rate families work to rebuild and sustain quality housing, schools, and businesses.
