Many heartfelt congratulations to the 10 distinguished Seniors who were recognized today at the Area Agency on Aging’s Senior Hall of Fame! Congratulations as well to Charlotte Mather Taylor and her staff for putting this annual event together, and providing a wonderful morning for both the honorees and all of the attendees. Very pleased to announce that we successfully secured 13 of our 15 appropriations requests in the 2026–2027 state budget, totaling more than $27.5 million in funding for District 96, Broward County, and communities across Florida.

This funding will help advance important local priorities, strengthen public safety, support educational opportunities, and invest in projects that will have a lasting impact on our communities. I am grateful to my legislative colleagues, local partners, and community stakeholders who helped make these investments possible.
