The Council of Neighborhood Associations (CONA) is a federal 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation with the following organizational mission:
The Council of Neighborhood Associations (CONA) improves and sustains the quality of life in a diverse Leon County Florida area by uniting, preserving, strengthening and honoring neighborhoods through effective advocacy, education and networking opportun
ities, civic engagement and community action and neighborhood collaboration. Located in the Tallahassee and Leon County Florida area, CONA was first incorporated in 1980. CONA works cooperatively with neighborhood and homeowner associations, local governments, law enforcement, the educational community, business, environmental groups and other civic organizations on those issues that affect the quality of life, health, safety and well-being of area residents. The Council provides an active and effective forum for bringing neighborhood issues to public attention through effective advocacy, networking opportunities and education forums.
