Congratulations to one of our fabulous volunteers, Gib Boyer, on being named the recipient of the 2026 Sonya Rood Volunteer of the Year Award from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC)! 🎉

Recognized for his outstanding leadership, service, and dedication to conservation education, Gib has volunteered hundreds of hours helping train new hunters and mentoring future instructors.

When congratulated on receiving the award, Gib's response said it all:
"It's a we thing in my opinion—not a me thing."
