Richard Junnier for Chairman of the Leon County Democratic Party

Richard Junnier for Chairman of the Leon County Democratic Party Restoring order--giving you the resources you need to win elections I am proud to be a member of the Leon County Democratic Executive Committee.

As an attorney, I have been honored to serve as your LCDEC Counsel and Defender. During my tenure as your Correspondence Secretary (2003-08), the postcards went out on time, meeting notification requirements were met, and rosters were up to date. Our members—and the voters we represented—knew what was going on. Remember the work Rick put into making this voter outreach happen--http://www.youtube.c

Now nobody accomplishes that alone. This group incorporates so much talent and passion that, even under difficult—at times utterly bizarre—circumstances, I’m very proud to work with you to ensure a better future for Leon County and for the Democratic Party. I understand, however, that without the proper resources, and without the order necessary to conduct meetings efficiently—it doesn’t matter how good you are—you won’t be in a position to successfully give your all for our President. That is unacceptable. During my many years as Vice-Chair and Chair of the Capital Region Transportation Planning Agency’s Citizen Advisory Committee, my Committee was able to advise on the annual spending of hundreds of millions of dollars, I never had a meeting run late, and nobody ever complained to me that they didn’t think their voice was heard. As Chair I will work to restore order, engineer the enhancement of the Committee’s public dignity, and optimally coordinate the talents of our most valuable resource—you. Today, I ask for your confidence and your vote.

I've missed having you, old friend. :)

Thank you for visiting my "Richard Junnier for Chairman of the Leon County Democratic Party" page! The election was held in 2012 and I was honored to be one of the first unanimously elected Chairs in many, many years. During my tenure, as one team, we were able to help keep the party of Rick Scott out of our community's State Attorney's Office and the Tea Party out of our city and county commissions!

I leave this page up only out of nostalgia for a time I enjoyed leading Leon County's Democratic Party.
