This morning, we were honored to welcome Dr. Christian Hubicki, Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the FAMU FSU College of Engineering and two-time Survivor player, to speak with the students at our enrichment camps.

Dr. Hubicki shared how his passion for robotics started early and how the skills our campers are building here can lay the groundwork for careers in engineering and beyond. He introduced campers to concepts like loops, conditionals, binary numbers, proprioception, and kinematics!

His message for our students: find something you love, because passion gives you the motivation to push through the hard parts, and the hard parts are where the real learning happens. He also reminded them that the best work rarely happens alone, so learning to collaborate is just as important as any technical skill.

Thank you, Dr. Hubicki, for being so generous with your time and patient with every question. We are grateful for your visit and the inspiration you left behind.

This morning, our DTES Special Area team hosted a surprise “Happy Retirement” party for Mrs. Baez. She was speechless and crying all at the same time. This isn’t Goodbye, it’s Hasta Luego, Mrs. Baez. You’re now an official Forever Trailblazer. ♥️💛

Today’s final All Pro Dad event for was the perfect sendoff after a wonderful year. The Annual Hug Run is always a sentimental memory for our Trailblazers.❤️💛

The Blazerettes went out with a bang! Friday marked their final performance and end-of-year banquet, capping off a year full of hard work and incredible talent.

Hard work deserves a celebration! Our fifth graders knocked their end-of-year testing out of the park, so today, teachers and students laced up their sneakers and hit the kickball field together. These Trailblazers never stop impressing us!
