Since its establishment in 1977, The Economic Club of Florida has become recognized as one of the South’s most important forums for distinguished speakers on issues of the day. Its roster of speakers has included national and international figures ranging from Presidential candidates and diplomats to leaders of business and finance… from an astronaut who went to the moon to the owner of the New Yo

rk Yankees to the Secretary General of the United Nations. The club’s membership of more than 400 comes close to being a Who’s Who of Florida’s capital city and includes leaders from government, higher education and the business community. Among them are past Governors, Cabinet members and Supreme Court Justices. More than half have been owners, chairs or CEOs of their companies or organizations. The club presents speaker programs usually once a month at the Florida State University Alumni Center, depending on the schedule of our distinguished guest speakers.
