At this year’s ceremony, we had two Board Certified members being recognized.

Chief Justice Muñiz honored David C. Willis, Board Certified in Construction Law, with the Justice Harry Lee Anstead Board Certified Lawyer of the Year Award. This award recognizes exceptional dedication to legal excellence and the promotion of board certification throughout Florida’s legal community.

Eddie Stephens, Board Certified in Marital and Family Law, received the Award for Excellence in the Promotion of Board Certification. Presented by Norma Stanley, BLSE Chair during the Pinning Ceremony, this recognition honors Eddie’s outstanding commitment to advancing the value and importance of board certification within the legal profession.

Nominations for The Florida Bar's two annual Board Certification awards have been extended to Thursday, May 8.

The Justice Harry Lee Anstead Award honors a Florida Board Certified lawyer or judge who exemplifies professionalism, character, and commitment to the certification program.

The Award for Excellence in the Promotion of Board Certification recognizes a board-certified lawyer or law firm whose creative work has advanced public awareness of board certification.

Anyone may submit a nomination. Nominees must be Florida Bar Board Certified.
