NEW: HUD and the Biden-Harris Administration just announced major new actions to boost housing supply and lower costs for Americans across the country. 🏠🛠️

1️⃣ HUD made available $100 million in grant funding to eliminate barriers to affordable housing production and preservation. Additionally, HUD launched a $250 million challenge for communities that receive direct annual awards through the Community Development Block Grant program. These communities are challenged with making transformative housing-forward changes in local communities across America.

2️⃣ HUD and announced steps to provide more interest rate predictability for state and local housing finance agencies that finance housing projects through the Federal Financing Bank (FFB) Multifamily Risk Sharing Program. This will help support the construction of new, affordable homes for American families.
