Every legend has a first year.

Congratulations to the 2026 Florida Truck Driving Championships Rookie of the Year, Brandon Tate, Publix Super Markets, who posted the highest combined score among all 128 first-time competitors to claim the top rookie honors.

Congratulations to the 2026 Florida Truck Driving Championships Grand Champion, Miguel Sanchez, UPS, who took top honors across all three disciplines.

As Grand Champion, Miguel receives NASCAR tickets from Love’s Travel Stops, a fitting reward for the driver who proved they’re in a class of their own.

A United States Army veteran, certified driver trainer, someone who has saved the lives of tigers, monkeys, and rescued drivers in distress on the highway. Michael has spent three decades setting the standard and raising it for everyone around him. Congratulations, Michael.

Before the first driver takes the course, an army shows up.

Transforming an empty exhibit hall into one of the nation’s most precise skills courses is no small feat. It takes the collective effort of more than 100 volunteers, and 15 equipment sponsors to build the 2026 Florida Truck Driving Champions from the ground up.

To our TDC Committee, led by Chair Scott Reagan of Great West, and sponsors, your relentless pursuit of excellence and belief in the safety culture we have cultivated made this possible. Florida’s safest drivers compete because you showed up first.
