Hello from Live Hope Learn! I am past due in providing an update on the status of the transition home in Moldova. Oleg, our ministry partner with New Hope Eurasia and director of the Transition Home in Cahul, Moldova provided an update on the situation at the border of Moldova and South East Ukraine. Last year, the Board of Directors approved the purchase of seedlings for the girls to start an apple orchard. Not only did they plant apple trees but, many other fruits such as cherries, sour cherries, peaches, pears and more. The Transition Home needed to raise $20,000 USD to build a new facility for after school projects and women's programs. Oleg and New Hope Eurasia found a donor willing to donate 10K if LHL could match it. One of our donors contributed $5,000, Live Hope Learn contributed another $5,000 providing them with the money they needed for the new facility. Permits have been approved and construction begins July 1. God is good!!

The Board of Directors for Live Hope Learn (LHL) convened on June 13th, 2024 to discuss the crisis in Haiti and how our ministry is navigating with the help of our Lord.
This year, LHL's ministry administrator, a native Haitian and resident of St. Marc, disclosed that due to the increased gang violence in Port au Prince, the decision was made to move the 23 kids, two house parents, and security guard, who all lived at the orphanage, to a safer community. Many were transported with nothing more than the clothes on their back. For context on the dangerous conditions within the community, the orphanage is located just a few blocks from where the missionary couple from Ohio was recently murdered. Currently, all of the children are safe and living with various families of a local church with which our ministry is very close. With your generous gifts, our administrator and head of security are ensuring that those families are receiving resources and food needed to care for the children. It is not easy for anyone to just walk or drive to the grocery store to buy food so the head of our security has had to take substantial risks to get the resources and food that each family needs. The families, administrator and security all communicate via WhatsApp and money is moved using an app similar to CashApp or Zelle. Children are still unable to go to school but online classes are available for those who have WiFi.
The feeding station in St Marc is still operating at 100% but traveling in and out of that city is very difficult and dangerous.

Hello from Live Hope Learn!! According to the Department of Defense, some of the most current 2023 statistics on worldwide human trafficking state that 4.5 million people throughout the world are victims of forced sexual exploitation. The girls in our transition home in the country of Moldova have been rescued and set free from that life. If you have not seen the movie, Sound of Freedom, you’re missing out on an opportunity to gain better understanding of the dangerous task of rescuing children from this nightmare.
At the annual meeting of the board of directors, we approved funds to plant an apple orchard at the transition home. While it will take some time to produce fruit, this will give these girls hope and purpose.
This past year, the president of Live Hope Learn visited the capitol of Moldova to work with girls in a local transition home as they passed out goods to passport carrying Ukrainian refugees who crossed the border to escape their war battered communities. Hello from Live Hope Learn! Today, I want to share what is going on in St Marc Haiti, the home to our feeding station. At this feeding station, we rotate feeding a total of about 60 children in the community each week. Over the years, the plastic and metal tables and chairs fell victim to much wear and tear. With your generous support, we’ve been able to purchase material to make new, high quality, tables and chairs. We were also able to make needed building and concrete repairs.
As stated in a previous post, getting access to food is almost impossible due to gang control so the board unanimously approved an additional two bags of rice for those in the community around the feeding station. It’s not a lot, but every little bit helps put food in their stomach. Thank you so much for your support and prayers, all this is possible because of you!!

Hello friends! Port au Prince, Haiti’s capitol, is home of Live Hope Learn’s Orphanage. It is also home to severe gang violence. Over 60% of the capitol is under the control of gangs which terrorize civilians not only with threats of murder, but also abduction for ransom, extortion, and sexual violence, often at random. Travel has become impossible. Children can’t go to school, workers can’t go to work, parents can’t get to market for food, the sick can’t get the care they need, the list goes on. Our goal, in the midst of this crisis, is to keep these children safe, fed and loved. In the background you can see the razor wire that surrounds the entire property wall. These children have 24 hour security, solar power and are well fed and loved. All of this is possible because of you! Your support is making a difference . Thank you!! 🇭🇹 💙❤️

**PRAISE REPORT**
In the last two months, we’ve seen an increase in sponsor support that has allowed us to increase food portions for the children at both the feeding station and orphanage. Praise God!!
Additionally, we welcomed a new child at the orphanage. Meet 9 year old, Widley Moise.
Recently, he’s been hanging around at the gate of the orphanage. One of our staff members asked where he belonged and found out that he was living on the streets alone. He had been orphaned and was on the verge of starvation. Because of your faithfulness, he now has a family, two meals a day, a bed to sleep in and an education.

Hello from Live Hope Learn!
I'd like to share with all of you some of the things we've been doing at our Feeding Station in Saint-Marc Haiti.
Access to clean, fresh water is a main concern in Haiti, where waterborne illnesses, such as typhoid, cholera, and chronic diarrhea, are the cause of more than half of the deaths in the country every year. Contaminated water is also one of the leading causes of childhood illness and the very high infant death rate in Haiti. This year, we installed a new pump and generator for our well that now provides clean, drinkable water not only to those children in the feeding program but to the entire community.
At our feeding station, we provide a meal a day on a rotation basis for select children in the community. This draws a lot of unwanted attention from squatters. With the help of our sponsors, we were able to improve security around the feeding station with the construction of a new wall.
