FAMP Government Affairs: Keeping Our Members Informed

The FAMP Government Affairs Committee is listening to our members—and two of the issues we continue to hear about are homeowners insurance and property tax reform.

As Amendment 3 approaches the November ballot, FAMP is committed to providing our members with timely, relevant information to help them better understand the amendment and its potential impact on Florida homeowners, the housing market, and the mortgage industry.

As part of that effort, FAMP is speaking with local officials and other knowledgeable voices to provide insight and perspective directly to our membership.

Lorena Colins with FAMP's, Tampa Gulf Coast Chapter, Governmenet Affairs Committee interviewed Hillsborough County Property Appraiser Bob Henriquez regarding Amendment 3. This is presented solely for informational and educational purposes. FAMP is not endorsing or opposing Amendment 3 and is not taking a position on the amendment.

FAMP Government Affairs Committee is putting in overtime. Our FAMP Lobbyist, Sean Stafford and FAMP President Michael Pearson had a productive sit-down meeting with Retired U.S. Navy Captain Jake Johansson. Jake is running for the Florida State Senate District 8 seat. They met in Broward County and discussed affordable housing, condominiums, and other issues important to FAMP.
