GUSTY SHOWERS WILL IMPACT NORTHEASTERN AUTAUGA...NORTHWESTERN
ELMORE...CENTRAL CHILTON...SOUTHWESTERN TALLADEGA...SHELBY...
NORTHEASTERN BIBB AND COOSA COUNTIES THROUGH 1045 AM CDT...

At 1018 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking gusty showers along a line
extending from near West Blocton to near Clanton to Wetumpka.
Movement was northeast at 50 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Hoover, Alabaster, Pelham, Helena, Sylacauga, Calera, Chelsea,
Clanton, Montevallo, Columbiana, Jemison, Wilsonville, Rockford,
Talladega Springs, Stewartville, Weogufka, Indian Springs Village,
Thorsby, West Blocton, and Deatsville.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM THURSDAY MORNING THROUGH FRIDAY
EVENING...

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

* WHERE...A portion of central Alabama, including the following
counties, Autauga, Barbour, Bibb, Bullock, Calhoun, Chambers,
Chilton, Clay, Cleburne, Coosa, Dallas, Elmore, Greene, Hale,
Jefferson, Lee, Lowndes, Macon, Marengo, Montgomery, Perry,
Pickens, Pike, Randolph, Russell, Shelby, St. Clair, Sumter,
Talladega, Tallapoosa and Tuscaloosa.

* WHEN...From Thursday morning through Friday evening.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
