At 404 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Lineville to near Jemison. Movement was
southeast at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.

7:55am UPDATE: The Level 2 of 5 (Slight Risk) has been expanded to include a larger portion of Central Alabama through this afternoon with a little higher chance of seeing an isolated damaging wind gust. Timing remains the same.

6/1, 6:30am: More scattered to numerous showers & storms will be upon us by this afternoon, developing to our NW and moving SE. Gusty winds & hail will be the primary hazards roughly from 11am to 6pm. counties, Blount, Calhoun, Cherokee, Clay, Cleburne, Etowah,
Jefferson, Randolph, Shelby, St. Clair and Talladega.

* WHEN...Until 6 PM CDT this evening.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of creeks,
streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

- A batch of heavy rain and thunderstorms is forecast to move
