It is with profound sadness that the Talladega High School family mourns the loss of Jy’Kayvien Wright, a beloved member of the Class of 2026.

Just a few weeks ago, Jy’Kayvien celebrated his graduation and the bright future that lay ahead. A captain of the basketball team, he was known for his humble spirit, quiet strength, warm smile, and the respect he showed others. Through his hard work and dedication, he earned more than $200,000 in scholarship opportunities and was preparing to pursue his dream of playing basketball at the collegiate level.

While his accomplishments were many, Jy’Kayvien will be remembered most for the impact he made on those around him. He was a valued friend, teammate, student, and member of the THS family whose presence will be deeply missed.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to the Wright family, his friends, teammates, coaches, and loved ones. As a THS family, we stand together in mourning, remembrance, and support.

Forever a Tiger. Forever remembered.

The 2025-2026 Talladega High School Yearbooks are expected to arrive in early July, and we can’t wait for everyone to see them!

If you haven’t ordered yours yet, there’s still time. We’ve extended the deadline to purchase a yearbook until Thursday, June 4.

💲 Cost: $65

Payments can be made at Talladega High School Monday through Thursday between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
