Our group had a chance to participate in earth day at Talladega College the week of Sunshine Saturday it was a busy week for us at the Arc but we thank the Talladega County extension and Talladega College for the opportunity to participate!

Our organization works together partnering with other organizations serving the community!
We have been volunteering delivering hot meals for the Red The Red Door Kitchen since 2020 during Covid.
This week we helped gather donations from the community to support stamp out hunger food drive for the Red Door Kitchen! Our individuals were able to help collect donations from our local Post Office and deliver it to the Red Door Kitchen for them to prepare meals to serve our community!
We are so thankful for this partnership!

Congratulations to Arc of North Talladega County Board of Directors member Teresa Jackson on her promotion!!

We are proud to announce the promotion of Ms. Teresa as Chief Financial Officer of TCR!

Ms. Teresa has been a dedicated member of the TCR family since January 19, 1998. She began her journey as an assistant to the Director of Human Resources and has since grown through a variety of key roles, including Payroll Administrator, Interim Human Resources Director, Director of Operations, and Deputy Chief Financial Officer. Her commitment, adaptability, and leadership have been instrumental to TCR’s continued growth and success.

While working full-time, Ms. Teresa earned her Bachelor of Science in Accounting in 2012 and later completed her Master’s degree in Accounting in 2020, both with a concentration in nonprofit and governmental accounting demonstrating her dedication to both her profession and personal development.

Throughout every season of change at TCR, Ms. Teresa has consistently stepped up to meet the organization’s needs. From manually processing payroll for over 500 employees early in her career to taking on multiple leadership roles simultaneously, she has exemplified reliability, resilience, and excellence. In 2024, she was promoted to Deputy Chief Financial Officer, and now in 2026, she steps into her new role as Chief Financial Officer.

Please join us in congratulating Ms. Teresa on this well-deserved achievement. We are incredibly proud and excited for all that lies ahead.
